Stylised head to right / Abstract boar to right above central pellet-in-annulet; annulet to left, five pellets and torque below. Depeyrot, NC VI, 123; D&T 530; CCCBM III 444-7; de la Tour 7905. Good Very Fine.(3.19gr, 18mm, 9h.).

    Boar to right, solar anemone above / Horse to left, solar anemone above, ringed-pellet below and to left, ladder-like exergue motif. ABC 1782; VA 855-7; BMC 3199-202; S 396. 1.43gr, 13mm, 9h.

    Good Very Fine. Dark toned silver, beautifully ornamented.

    The two great things about coins from the celebrated Michael O'Bee collection of Corieltavian coins is that (1) they are in beautiful condition, and (2) they come with secure provenances. This lovely Proto Boar silver unit, for example, was found at Rothwell Top, Lincs., in April 1994.

    Stylised head right, with stalk lips, 'worms' and pellets in front, ringed-pellets and X on cheek, pellets in arcs behind / Triple-tailed horse left, pellet and [T]ED above, ringed-pellet and AN below. ABC 2072; VA 1082; BMC 3032-38; S 380. 0.95gr, 13mm, 5h.

    Good Very Fine. Toned silver, well struck horse with most of ANTED visible.
