Figure seated facing, with legs crossed, holding torc and plait of hair / Boar standing to right; snake-like ornament and half annulet above, [star below]. Cf. D&T 220; cf. LT 8145 (Catalauni). Good Very Fine. Heavily chipped.(2.35gr, 20mm, 9h.).

    Chris Rudd writes: 'This is an important coin because it seems to be the direct prototype for the Cantian Thurrock cast bronzes, the first coins made in Britain.'
