Stylised helmeted head to left / [ROVECA], stylised griffin leaping to right; two groups of three pellets-in-annulets above. DT 575; LT 7691. Good Very Fine. Beautiful olive green patina.(3.04gr, 17mm, 6h.).

Near Extremely Fine. Sharply struck in golden gold, clear 'bird'. Recorded in Celtic Coin Index Online of Oxford University with reference no.CCI 01.1922.

It can surely be no accident that the two Y-shapes in this gorgeous Dutotrigan gold quarter stater closely resemble the Y-shapes seen on the late Hengistbury cast bronze coins. -
