Celtic Northeast Gaul. Ambiani AV Stater. Circa 60-50 BC. Uninscribed coinage. Series E.

Plain; traces of central band / Disjointed horse to right with pellet, 'S' symbols and 'rope' groundline pattern below; with pellet-in-oval behind with crescents and pellets above. Cf. Van Arsdell 50-56, 87; cf. De la Tour 235-42, 8707 {Morini}; SCBC 11; ABC 16 var. (no 'S's). Near Very Fine.(5.73gr, 18mm, 12h.).
