Celtic Iron Age Coins - Eastern Region - Uninscribed 'Tring Wheel' - Gold Quarter Stater
70-20 BC, southern style Qc 'Remic' type. Obv: wreath with hair band and 'hidden' face. Rev: triple-tailed horse with annulets and beaded mane; cogged sun below, spoked wheel above, smaller 'wheel' before and annulets around. 1.26 grams.
Good very fine; near as struck. Very rare; perhaps less than ten recorded.

Found near Papworth, Cambridgeshire, UK, 2014 recorded at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, UK.
