Celtic Britannia, Iceni AR Unit. Circa AD 10-43. Possibly Ecen Corn Ear type.
Double crescents back to back with two pellets between and lines and rows of pellets extending outwards / Horse rearing to right, with grain ear mane; pelletal sun above, three pellets and [ECEN?] below. Cf. ABC 1657; cf. SCBC 443A. Near Very Fine. Toned.(0.95gr, 13mm, 10h.).

This specimen clearly displays the moustache and the characteristic crest of boar-like bristles, which seem to indicate that the deity is wearing a boarskin headdress. -
