Male head to right, with herringbone hair and large oval eye; another eye in front of mouth / Horse to right, pellet in annulet in beaded ring below, pellet in ring above. ABC 1531; Van Arsdell 665-7; SCBC 433. Near Very Fine. Edge chipped.(0.84gr, 13mm, 12h.).

Acquired on the UK art market before 2000.
Property of an Essex, UK, gentleman.

The blinded eye and the eye in the mouth (speaking with foresight) could refer to the Scandinavian myth of Odin (Chris Rudd List 23, no.30).
