Celtic Britannia. Dobunni AR Unit. 50 BC-AD 50. Uninscribed. Cotswold Eagle type.

Profile moon head (type B) to right, pelletted crescents for hair, large boss on chin, stalk lips / Celtic triple-tailed annulate horse to left with annulets and symbols around; 'flower' symbol below, stylised bird's head above, three pellets in field. ABC 2015; Van Arsdell 1042; BMC 2953-62; SCBC 377. Good Very Fine. Repaired.(1.02gr, 14mm, 8h.).

    Extremely Fine. Iridescent silver with blue hues, handsome horns of plenty, sharp eagle. A masterpiece in miniature of exceptional beauty.
