Celtic Britannia. Cantiaci Potin Unit. Early 1st century BC. Uninscribed. Angular Bull type (Cantian D).
Stylised head to left / Stylised bull; two crescents above, pellet and exergual line below. ABC 171; cf. Van Ardsell 133 and 135-136; SCBC 63. Good Very Fine.(1.88gr, 19mm, 9h.).

Chris Rudd writes: 'This is an important coin because it seems to be the direct prototype for the Cantian Thurrock cast bronzes, the first coins made in Britain.' -
