IMP C CARAVSIVS P F AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed(?) bust to right / SAECV[LI F]-ELICIT, Carausius standing to right, wearing helmet and military attire, holding transverse spear and globe in outstretched hand; C in exergue. RIC V.5 2542 var. (obverse legend); RIC V -; Webb -. Near Very Fine. One of the rarest varieties of Carausius available, seemingly unrecorded and with no other examples on CoinArchives.(3.43gr, 22mm, 7h.).
