Caracalla, as Caesar AE 27mm of Uncertain Mint, Minor Asia. AD 195-198.

Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust to right, seen from rear / Uncertain male deity standing facing, head to left, holding patera(?) with right hand and sceptre with left. Fine.(10.56gr, 27mm, 12h.). [No Reserve]

    A very interesting example with an unclear date. The letters on the reverse could be L IZ or L IS (referring to year 17) but upon closer inspection, the letters could be L IЄ (year 15). A new date for Pontius Pilatus' coinage?
