Calabria, Tarentum AR Didrachm or Nomos. Circa 272-240 BC. Struck under the magistrate ΑΓΑΘΑΡΧΟΣ (Agatharchos). Reduced standard.
Nude youth on horseback to right, crowning horse and holding rein; beneath horse, AΓAΘ-A[P] XOΣ in two lines / TAPAΣ, Phalanthos, holding kantharos in outstretched right hand and cornucopia in left, on dolphin to left; to right, race torch. Vlasto 852-4; HN III 1028. Very Fine. Lightly toned. Minor flan flaws.(6.57gr, 20mm, 8h.).
