Byzantine Bronze Horse Brooch with Ring-and-Dot Ornament

CIRCA 6TH CENTURY A.D.

1 1/2 in. (14.08 grams, 38 mm).

Bow brooch formed as a standing horse with one foreleg raised, the hind legs forming the pin-lug and the groundline between the forelegs forming the catch, punched ring-and-dot decoration on the body. [No Reserve]
