ROMAN BRONZE STATUETTE OF MERCURY
1ST CENTURY BC-1ST CENTURY AD
4 1/4" (136 grams, 11cm including stand).

A figurine of Mercury standing nude with winged petasos, mantle draped to the shoulder, marsupium in the extended right hand, winged sandals to the feet; mounted on a custom-made stand.

PROVENANCE:
Property of a Surrey collector; acquired in the early 1970s.
