Modelled in the round standing on a circular base, dressed in full military gear and sandals, holding an eagle-topped standard in his right hand. [No Reserve]

    The Swiss archaeologist Karl Weber discovered the original bronze bust around 1750 during his excavations in the Villa dei Papiri, near Herculaneum in the Gulf of Naples.
