A cast plate brooch of an advancing gladiator with broad rectangular shield, gladius in the right hand, deep-brimmed Thracian helmet; pin, pin-lugs and catchplate to the reverse.
PROVENANCE:
Property of a Scottish gentleman; acquired in the 1990s.
