Bronze Age Bronze British Rapier

(Bronze, 360 grams, 71 cm.).

Circa 800-500 BC. A cast bronze rapier with narrow lozenge-section blade, flanged grip and pierced discoid guard.

Provenance

Formerly in the collection of a Hertfordshire Gentleman, a river find from the Cambridge/Suffolk fens in 1973.
