LATE BRONZE AGE, CIRCA 700 B.C.
5 in. (240 grams, 12.9 cm).
With broad stepped collar to the mouth, slightly flared square-section body with thick narrow loop, straight edge; old collector's inked label 'Armorican type socketed axe, Late Bronze Age around 700 B.C. North West France, usually found in large hoards, Normandy and Brittany. Ex old French coll. Bought Paris'. [No Reserve]
