NEOLITHIC PERIOD, CIRCA 6000 B.P.
5 1/4 in. (724 grams, 13.4 cm).
Lentoid in section and D-shaped in profile with thick butt. [No Reserve]
Provenance
From the collection of Richard Widdowson.
Richard owned an Antiquity shop in Southern England and amassed a great and varied Stone Age collection.
Purchased from Mr Widdowson in the 1980s and then more recently from a collector in the UK.

Found in Ubari, Libya, with an inked find spot. From a collection formed during the seventies and eighties and acquired on the British art market. By descent to the current owner in 1998.
