British RAF WWII Aircraft Mechanics Handmade Cigarette Case from Aircraft Parts and Booklet
1939-1945 A.D.
5 5/8 x 3 7/8 in. (119 grams total, booklet: 14.3 x 9.8 cm).
Comprising: a plastic cigarette case with metal holders inside; a paper booklet 'Spot them in the Air! Identification drawings and descriptions of twenty-seven British and German aircraft'; and two leather tags suspended from a string. [2, No Reserve]

A collection of three Boxer .450 brass cartridge cases, plus two lead bullet heads, fired from British Martini-Henry rifles during the battle between British forces and the main Zulu army. 82.3 grams total, 28-50 mm
Found by local Zulu people living at Khambula, South Africa, 1990s-early 2000s. Ian Wilkinson collection, Nottinghamshire, UK, formed since 1985.
The battle resulted in a heavy defeat for the Zulus, who had been full of confidence from their earlier victories against the British at Isandlwana and Hlobane. -
