BRITISH BRONZE AGE 'MIGDALE TYPE' COPPER FLAT AXE
3RD-2ND MILLENNIUM B.C.
3 5/8 in. (256 grams, 93 mm).

Flat axe with sharpened square butt, flared body, rounded edge. [No Reserve]

PROVENANCE:
Found near the river Trent, Clifton, Nottinghamshire, UK.
From the private collection of John Fox, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK, antiquarian and archaeologist; his collection assembled in the 1950s-1970s.
This lot is accompanied by an illustrated lot declaration signed by the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr Raffaele D'Amato.
