10 5/8 x 8 7/8 in. (3.28 kg, 27 x 22.5 cm).

Welsh-language bible of Old and New Testaments with heavy leather-bound boards. gold block titling to the spine 'BIBL SANTAIDD' (Holy Bible); handwritten notes of births to inside front cover beginning 'Richard Griffiths dies June (2) 1891 and was interred in Cockett Chruch [corrected to 'Church']; title page missing apart from an upper corner; fold-out map of the eastern Mediterranean area in the time of the Apostles; pen-trials and notes to the end pages. [No Reserve]

    Welsh language bible with heavy boards, original leather binding with stamped and tooled ornament to both covers; inside front cover with pasted note listing births of children to David and Margaret Davies from 1856 1869 with subscript 'Mary Davies Corffenaf 23 1875' (i.e. 23rd July); numerous pencilled notations and calculations; separate first leaf with multiple signatures by David Davies'; loose leaf dated 1838 with prayers; church service paper for Eglwys Moriah, New York for 1919; private letter dated 9th January 1920 requesting the price of a bible; numerous other loose leaves with calculations and private correspondence. 3.15 kg, 26 x 21.5 cm

    Covers worn, scuffed and rubbed; usage wear to the covers and foredge; text largely complete, many manuscript additions, pressed flowers etc.
