ROMAN BONE INLAY OF MINERVA
2ND CENTURY B.C.-2ND CENTURY A.D.
5 1/2 in. (2 1/4 in.) (124 grams total, 14 cm high (inlay 60mm)).

A carved bone inlay of the goddess Minerva (Greek Athena), with detailing to her garments and helmet, her head in profile facing right; mounted on a wooden display frame.

PROVENANCE:
French collection, 1990s-early 2000s.
with Vermot & Associés, 16 November 2019, lot 43.
From an important Paris gallery, France.
Ex private Parisian collection.
