With bell-shaped robe, arms folded supporting the breasts, row of impressed circles forming the necklace, pinched facial details with oversized brow and ears, applied disc earrings and eyes. [No Reserve]

From an old Tokyo collection; previously the property of a Japanese gentleman since the early 1990s.
From the private collection of John Meredith, acquired since the 1990s; thence by descent.

    Matched pair of earrings, each comprising a hoop with bulb flanked by small scrolls, a triangular plaque with repoussé pelta-shaped scrolls and openwork elements, beaded band and base with graduated chains ending in sheet-gold vine-leaf motifs with granule finals; mounted in a lined presentation case. 12.39 grams total, 70-78 mm

This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by search certificate number no.12815-241414.
