"Pseudo-Damascus" mint. Imperial figure standing facing, holding spear over shoulder with right hand; AXЄ downwards to left; to right, cross set on steps, with saltire over globe at center / Large M, cross above, below, inverted crescent; 'darb dimashq ja'iz' (current issue [of] Dimashq) in Arabic around. Schulze, 'The al-wafā lillāh Coinage -; Schulze, Pseudo-Byzantine Coinage in Syria -; Goodwin&Gyselen -; Goodwin, Khalili Collection, -; DOCAB -; SICA 1, -. Near Very Fine. Exceptionally rare with unpublished obverse type and of great numismatic importance.(5.20gr, 19mm, 2h.).
