3RD CENTURY BC
7" (152 grams, 18 cm).

An Apulian blackware skyphos; on one face a dancing maiden in flowing robe with delicate use of white slip for effect, objects in the field; on the other face, Hermaphroditus, winged and advancing, objects in the field; palmette designs between, two square loop handles to the rim.

PROVENANCE:
From the estate of a late North Country collector, acquired over a 30 year period from the early 1970s.
