Head of Mercury to right, two pellets (mark of value) above / Prow to right, ROMA above, L between two pellets (mark of value) below. Crawford 43/4; Sydenham 128. Good Very Fine. Attractive light green patina.(10.27gr, 24mm, 11h.).

    Extremely Fine. Sharply struck issue with attractive iridescent toning.

    Struck by Sicinius for the use of the fleet commanded by Coponius in the East, which was in support of Pompey, the formula S C was added to give the appearance of the coins being issued under Senatorial authority.
