Anonymous AE Follis. Circa 11th century AD. Uncertain mint.
IC XC to left and right of bust of Christ, nimbate, facing, His right hand raised, book of gospels in His left / Jewelled cross with globe at each end, set on two steps; wedge in each angle. For another example cf. Numismatik Naumann 119, 822; otherwise unpublished. Very Fine. Apparently overstruck on an earlier anonymous follis. Unpublished class.(7.13gr, 28mm, 5h.).
