Anglo-Zulu War Artefacts from the Battle of Khambula

5/8 - 3 1/2 in. (318 grams total, 16-89 mm).
A collection of battlefield artefacts, including a stoneware soldier's inkwell, a green glass inkwell, and Boxer .450 brass cartridge bullet cases. [14, No Reserve]
Provenance
Found by local Zulu people living at Khambula, South Africa, 1990s-early 2000s.
Ian Wilkinson collection, Nottinghamshire, UK, formed since 1985.
Footnotes
The battle resulted in a heavy defeat for the Zulus, who had been full of confidence from their earlier victories against the British at Isandlwana and Hlobane.
