Anglo-Scandinavian Viking Gilt Bronze Pendant

11TH CENTURY A.D.

1 3/8 in. (8.23 grams, 37 mm).

With elaborate decoration; a central motif surrounded by four wave-like double ropework scrolls with triangles in the field within a ropework border; apex loop with Thor's head above.

Provenance

Found in Harling, Norfolk, UK, on 11th January 2024.

Accompanied by a copy of the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) report no.TBA.
