ANGLO-SCANDINAVIAN VIKING BRONZE STIRRUP APEX MOUNT
9TH-11TH CENTURY A.D.
2 in. (25.2 grams, 50 mm).

Of Williams's Class A type 1, tongue-shaped with addorsed beasts outlined in niello; shallow ledge to the reverse, attachment holes at the apex and base. [No Reserve]

PROVENANCE:
Found Brough, Lincolnshire, UK.
This lot is accompanied by an illustrated lot declaration signed by the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr Raffaele D'Amato.
