Anglo-Saxon. Secondary Sceattas AR Sceat. Circa 710/5-720/5. Mint in east Kent or the lower Thames region. Series N, type 41b.

Two standing figures with elongated limbs, pellet cross between their faces, each holding long cross / Monster to left, head reverted; pellets around. SCBI 69 (Abramson) 576; North 99; SCBC 806. Good Fine.(1.13gr, 12mm, 10h.).

From the private collection of John Meredith, acquired since the 1990s; thence by descent.
