Anglo-Saxon, Kings of All England. Harold I Harefoot AR Penny. Struck circa 1038-1040. Thetford, mint. Leofwine, moneyer. Fleur-de-lis type (BMC vc, Hild. B).

✠ HAR-OLD REC, diademed bust to left, holding lis-tipped sceptre and shield / ✠ LEO-FPI-NE(ligate) ON ÐEO, voided long cross with central pellet; in each quarter, fleur-de-lis between two pellets. North 803; SCBC 1165. Good Very Fine. Toned.(0.91gr, 19mm, 9h.).
