Anglo-Saxon. Kings of all England, Harold I AR Penny. 1035-1040.

Harold I Harefoot. Jewel Cross type (BMC i, Hild. A), Skuli at York. 1016-1035. + HΛROLD RECX., diademed bust to left / + SCVLA ON EOFERPICC (trefoil), cross composed of four ovals united at base by two concentric circles enclosing a pellet. BMC -; North 802; SCBC 1163. Good Very Fine. Pierced for use as a pendant to the 'O' and subsequently plugged. Extremely Rare. Only two coins recorded on the Medieval Coin Corpus and SCBI with this mint spelling.(1.05gr, 17mm, 6h.).
