Anglo-Saxon, Kings of All England. Cnut AR Cut Halfpenny. Struck circa 1029-1035/6. Exeter mint; Aelfwine(?), moneyer. Short Cross type (BMC xvi, Hild. H).

✠ CNV[T R]ECX, diademed and draped bust to left, lis-tipped sceptre before / ✠ ÆL[...]CXE •, voided short cross with pellet-in-annulet in centre. North 790; SCBC 1159. Very Fine. Toned.(0.53gr, 18mm, 12h.).
