1 1/4 - 2 1/2 in. (704 grams total, 32-64 mm).

Comprising square- and discoid nail heads, each with the stub of the round- or square-section shank. [5, No Reserve]

Provenance

Found Weston Colville, Cambridgeshire, UK.
This lot is accompanied by an illustrated lot declaration signed by the Head of the Antiquities Department, Dr Raffaele D'Amato.

Footnotes

The large size and thick shank of some pieces implies that they have come from a substantial timber structure: either a feasting hall or perhaps a sailing vessel.
