Anglo-Saxon Hammered Coins - Eclectic Sceatta - LVNDONIA and Triquetras Type

710-760 AD, triquetras type, variety 5. Obv: profile bust right with LVNDONIA legend for London. Rev: interlaced cross with triquetra terminals and pellets. 0.89 grams.

Good very fine, small striking crack at edge of flan. Rare.

FOOTNOTES:
This sceatta combines the obverse type seen in series L, type 12 (S. 804) with the Triquetras reverse (S. 821); Abramson lists this as type 'Tri5'.
