ANGLO-SAXON GILT-BRONZE MOUNT WITH GARNETS
6TH CENTURY AD
1" (12 grams, 25 mm).

A cast rectangular mount with four attachment studs to the reverse; the upper face with gilt panel of four Style I zoomorphs arranged symmetrically around a central cell divided to hold two cloison garnets.

PROVENANCE:
Found Saxmundham, Suffolk, UK, in the late 1990s.
