Anglo-Saxon. Continental Sceattas AR Sceat. Circa 690-710/5. Mint in northern Frisia. Struck under Radbod, King of Frisia.

Cross pommée, pellets in angles; blundered legend around / 'Standard' with central pellet-in-annulet and chevron and three lines; cross above. North 163; SCBC 793. Near Extremely Fine.(1.21gr, 11mm, 1h.).

Provenance

From the private collection of John Meredith, acquired since the 1990s; thence by descent.
