Anglo-Saxon. Continental Sceattas AR Sceat. Circa 690-710/5. Mint in northern Frisia (prob. Wijnaldum). Struck under Radbod, King of Frisia. Possibly series D, type 2c.
Crude crowned bust to right; Runic letters to right / Cross pommée, pellets in angles; cross above, blundered legend around. Abramson 8-10; North 168; SCBC 792. Very Fine.(1.24gr, 11mm, 3h.).

Radiate crude bust to right; annulet flanking Λ behind; WIGRAED in Runic downward to right / 'Standard' with central annulet, chevrons and diagonal lines in corners; cross pommée on each side quartering central device, radiating line on each corner.
