Anglo-Saxon Bronze Ring with Punched Motifs

6TH CENTURY A.D.

1 in. (1.77 grams, 23.99 mm overall, 19.50 mm internal diameter (approximate size British P, USA 7 1/2, Europe 16.23, Japan 15)).

Formed with a slender hoop overlapping and coiled at the centre, the discoid bezel with punched bow tie and ring-and-dot motifs. [No Reserve]

Provenance

From a Norfolk excavation in the late 19th century.
Ex property of a Nottingham gentleman by descent.
