Aspendos, Pamphylia mint, posthumous issue, dated year 16 or 26. Obv: head of Herakles right, wearing lionskin headdress; Seleukid anchor countermark on head. Rev: ALEXANDROY legend with Zeus seated left, right leg drawn back, holding eagle and sceptre; AS over IC or AS over KC in left field. Very fine.(16.47 grams.).

Dated Year 28. Obv: diademed, elderly head of the king right. Rev: BASILEWS ARIOBARZANOY to right and left with FILORWMAIOY below, Athena standing left, holding Nike, spear and shield; YA monogram in left field, date KH in exergue, (partly off flan). 3.84 grams.

A silver coin ingot with sub-circular body. Obv: traces of head of Dionysos right. Rev: three counterstamps: a turtle, letter A above a bucranium, and IM as individual letters or PM (monogram). 19.5 grams.
Marks very fine.
German collection before 2000. Collection of Mr D.H., formed in UK, from the EU art market. Property of a Surrey gentleman.
For the countermarks, A over bucranium is known on a tetradrachm of Alexander III and the turtle is often seen on coins of Pontos, Pamphylia and Thessaly. -
