Akkadian Haematite Cylinder Seal with Presentation Scene
LATE 3RD-EARLY 2ND MILLENNIUM B.C.
1 in. (15 grams, 26.6 mm).
With incuse frieze depicting a standing robed figure with one leg and one arm extended towards a supplicant in floor-length garment offering a bird in both hands towards the first figure; sun-disc above the bird's head; third standing figure in flounced garment behind the supplicant. [No Reserve]

From a Scottish private collection, Perthshire, 1990s.

About half the surface of the seal has been left blank; this was probably intended to be inscribed with a cuneiform text.
