Comprising a hexagonally-facetted stem with a hexagonal collar dividing the stem and terminal, the terminal formed as a hexagonally-facetted conical knop tapering to a point. 6.45 grams, 81 mm



Found by Jason Ashley whilst searching with a metal detector near Topcliffe, Hambleton, North Yorkshire, UK, on Sunday, 22nd October 2023. Accompanied by a copy of the Report for HM Coroner on find of Potential Treasure with Treasure reference no.2024T129. Accompanied by a copy of a letter from the British Museum disclaiming the Crown's interest in the find. Accompanied by a copy of the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) report no.YORYM-0EBA56.

With stylised zoomorphic detailing to the spout, mouth developing to a round-section spout, arched neck with a section cut away for attachment. 48.7 grams, 75 mm

Vesica-shaped with a loop on the reverse, a bird holding a branch at the centre, inscription surrounding 'IESV: SEL BON E LEL', translating as ‘I am a seal, good and loyal’. 5.88 grams, 26 mm

The 'Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem' was an order of knighthood under the protection of the Pope, formed around 1099 AD by Duke Godfrey of Bouillon, the leader of the First Crusade. It was established for the protection of pilgrims travelling to the Holy Land and was recognised by a Papal Bull in about 1113 AD.

With lateral loops and low-profile cross with W to obverse, reverse with a hatched crescent. 31.1 grams, 46 mm
