    West Central Asian Bronze Stamp Seal Matrix with Greek Cross
    Circa 2300-2000 B.C.

    Circular openwork seal with cross motif; accompanied by typed and signed note by the late W.G. Lambert, Professor of Assyriology at the University of Birmingham, 1970-1993, which states: 'Stamp Seal of Bronze, 44 x 45 x 15 mm. This is round, with flat compartmented and open-work face, and flat back on which a handle of inverted U-shape is mounted. The design consists of a central Greek cross joined to a segmented outer band by a single strut from the middle of the outer arms, and three pairs of struts, two from each arm of the cross, one from the single strut. This comes from west central Asia and dates to c. 2300-2000 B.C. The outer rim is a little dented, but otherwise it is in very good condition and a fine example of its kind.' 22 grams, 45 mm

    Accompanied by a copy of an old scholarly note, hand written and signed by W.G. Lambert, late Professor of Assyriology, University of Birmingham, 1970-1993, which states: 'Cylinder seal of Green faience, 36x15mm. The design shows a stylized sacred tree and a reared up kid on either side. A stylized solar disc serves as a terminal. This seal is to be dated c. 800-600 B.C. and comes from Mesopotamia or Eastern Syria. For faience it is a large seal in good condition.'; supplied with a museum-quality impression. 13.5 grams, 36 mm

    West Central Asian Bronze Stamp Seal Matrix with Vulture
    Circa 2300-2000 B.C.

    Showing a vulture with spread wings, remains of loop to the reverse; accompanied by typed and signed note by the late W.G. Lambert, Professor of Assyriology at the University of Birmingham, 1970-1993, which states: 'Stamp Seal of Bronze, 22 x 34 x 8mm. This has the form of what is depicted, with flat face, flat back, and the remains of a handle of strip metal on the back. The design shows an eagle or vulture with head sideways at the top and wings spread each side, the talons at the bottom being chipped. This comes from west central Asia and dates to c. 2300-2000 B.C. It is a rare type and in fair condition. Incrustation on the surface could be removed.' 10 grams, 37 mm
