Comprising: D-shaped headplate with five radiating beast-head knops to the rim and running scroll to the plate, shallow ribbed bow, pentagonal footplate with lattice detailing and beast-head finial, lateral cells to accept inlay; to the reverse pin-lugs and pierced lug in place. 51.9 grams, 13.3 cm

The lack of a full catchplate to the reverse of the brooch suggests that it was intended to be sewn permanently to the garment on which it was worn and not to be detached.
Comprising: small-long bow brooch with pierced headplate, ansate brooch, horse-head foot from a cruciform brooch, mask with silver band from a cruciform brooch. 36 grams total, 27-56 mm

The design is clearly based on the contemporary stirrup mount style with dense openwork interlace and attachment points; the item lacks the rear ledge and attachment stud of the true mounts.
