A group of two copper-alloy artefacts comprising: a discoid stamp seal with suspension lug to reverse, incuse winged and horned quadruped to base; and an 6th-9th century A.D. octagonal weight with pseudo(?) characters to both principal faces and each side facet. 26 grams total, 17-18 mm

A broadly pillow-shaped clay tablet bearing cuneiform text to one face, a Paleo-Akkadian receipt (from Adab?): barley from Lugalnitazi received by the men of the kitchens. 20.1 grams, 36 mm wide

Specialised collection of cuneiform texts, the property of a London gentleman and housed in London before 1992.
Thence by descent to family members.
Examined by Professor Wilfrid George Lambert FBA (1926-2011), historian, archaeologist, and specialist in Assyriology and Near Eastern archaeology, in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The collection is exceptional for the variety of types, including some very rare and well preserved examples.
