(Gilt-bronze, glass and silver, 200 grams, 71-73 mm.).
Circa 200 AD. A cast gilt-bronze belt clasp formed with two elliptical plaques in decorative bronze frames with integral bronze straps to the reverse; one with florid loop closure and silver panel with inlaid design depicting two figures by the shore, with boat and sailing vessel in the river, mountains to the far shore; the other with zoomorphic hook closure and blue glass panel with feintly incised figural scene.
