'THE IVYCHURCH' MEDIEVAL GOLD BISHOP'S STIRRUP RING WITH GARNET
13TH-14TH CENTURY A.D.
1 in. (2.05 grams, 25.28 mm overall, 19.63 mm internal diameter (approximate size British R 1/2, USA 8 3/4, Europe 19.38, Japan 18)).

A gold finger ring with slender hoop and pie-dish bezel, inset garnet cabochon replacing the original.

PROVENANCE:
Found while searching with a metal detector in Ivychurch, Folkestone and Hythe, Kent, UK, in 2016.
Accompanied by a copy of the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) report no.KENT-9F4EA9.
Accompanied by a copy letters from the Coroner and the British Museum confirming that the Crown's interest in the ring under treasure reference no.2016T863 has been disclaimed.
