Roman Silver Ring with Victory

2nd century AD

A silver finger ring with ribbed hoop, scrolled edge to the plaque and raised ellipsoid bezel with intaglio winged Victory. 15.51 grams, 21.32mm overall, 16.30mm internal diameter (approximate size British L, USA 5 3/4, Europe 11.24, Japan 10) (3/4"). Very fine condition.

Property of a Belgian gentleman; formerly the property of a London gentleman; acquired by his father in the 1970s.
